Hi -- Who among you are separating or marking your beginning readers by level, and how are you judging the level? (We know already that the levels that the various publishers use are not consistent with one another!)
We have a patron request--from a parent--that we level our beginning readers. I've noticed this discussed on PUBYAC lately, also, across the country. The parent's child's school is giving out booklists of titles that have been leveled according to Fountas & Pinnell, whose book is:
