Dear Sharon - thank you for this. I would be interested in more titles since I recently did a Cinderella unit with 7th graders. I collect Cinderella books and have 18. I read the students Perrault's version and then they each read a version from another country. They did a compare/contrast/similarities diagram. They will be researching the countries and will make a poster/presentation. I'd like to purchase some of these titles for next year.

The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), opened registration for three online courses in Winter 2009: "Booktalks Quick and Simple" (Nancy Keane); "Boys and Books: Encouraging Early Teen and Tween Boys to Read" (Jenine Lillian) and "Power Programming for Teens" (Amy Alessio).
