Judges Needed For Writing Contest
CelebrateNJ! is looking for judges for their NJ studies statewide writing contest. You can review the articles from your computer, make your selections on the system and send them to them. Judges must be available between March 1st and 15th to complete the judging. All student articles are accessed through their database online in .doc, .pdf or .jpg format. They'll assign a limited number of articles to you and provide you with the criteria for judging and the maximum number of selections you can make. If you're interested, send an email to Karen Hatcher, Executive Director khat...@celebratenj.org. Tell her a little bit about why you think you'd be a good judge and she'll be in touch.
Free Membership for POI Celebrate NJ! has been working with a coalition of groups, on a NJ Wayfinding initiative to help visitors and residents, find our way safely and with ease to all of New Jersey's best points of interest. A unique component of the Initiative is an online map site, NJPOI.com (www.NJPOI.com). This map site is loaded with thousands of interesting things to do and see all over the state, and your library may currently have a free listing (name, address, category) on the map under "Educational Activities". Because budgets have been slashed and times are challenging, we are inviting all libraries to take advantage of a special opportunity to help you more effectively promote your site and activities, at no cost to your organization.
The NJPOI.com Point2Point promotion allows your site to partner with one for-profit Point of Interest location in your community (restaurant, hotel, B&B, sports, theatre, gallery, shopping or entertainment venue) and earn a free Full Membership (including text, photos, links and video about your site, at your control) for one year on NJPOI.com (a $250 value). If you would like to learn more, email khat...@CelebrateNJ.org with "Point2Point" in the subject line and she will forward you a fact sheet and registration form.
