Date: February 9th 2009

Mark your calendars today!  The OBNJ committee will be hosting a couple of online book discussions of this year's teen and adult selections at www.bccls.org/OBNJ.

Life as We Knew It will be discussed online on Monday, May 4, 7:30-8:30 p.m.  Susan Beth Pfeffer will be joining us for this discussion of her widely acclaimed dystopian novel for teens.

The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao will be discussed at two times: Thursday, April 16, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon AND Thursday, April 23, 7:30-8:30 p.m.  A mix of Jersey history, multiculturalism, and coming of age storylines are providing for lots of discussion points.  Feel free to join in for one or both discussions, at your convenience.

If you haven't yet read the adult or teen One Book New Jersey selections, -- don't worry!  -- there is plenty of time to do so! If you loved the books, hated them, or don't really know... voice your opinions with a diverse group of librarians and readers throughout the state.  Anyone can log on at www.bccls.org/OBNJ; it's free and easy, and no registration is involved.

Transcrips of all three discussions will be posted at www.bccls.org/OBNJ.  Take a look here for transcripts of last year's discussion, as well.

Happy reading!
