Subject: ARRA Funding for Bicycle Paths and Pedestrian Facilities to connect community activity centers such as libraries, businesses, schools, shopping and recreation centers

Here is another opportunity for libraries in ARRA funding. If your municipality is applying for the Transportation Enhancement ARRA, libraries are mentioned

as one of the connections desired for bicycle and pedestrian facilities. This ARRA program lists construction of new sidewalks, walking trails, bike paths

as eligible activities which can connect to libraries, specifically mentioned on page fund of this program. If you are interested in such a connection for your

library, you may want to talk to your town to see if they are applying for this ARRA program from the Department of Transportation. Applications are

due from communities before May 13th.
