Please excuse any cross-postings. Feel free to share and forward this email and attachment with any library in the state.
Dear Colleagues,
Nationwide Bowling, in conjunction with the North Arlington Public Library, have coordinated a \x93Library Days at the Lanes\x94 program that we would like to extend to all libraries in the state of NJ. The program is the product of community collaboration aimed to promote literacy. During the weeks of June 22nd to July 6th children and adults can show their library card at any of the Nationwide Bowling Lanes (there are ten in NJ and one in Allentown, PA) and get one free game per day.
All libraries are welcomed to participate in this promotion by displaying the attached flyer. Libraries can take it a step further by hosting a special program at the lanes: arrange a story time, bring in a guest author, have a children\x92s craft.... the possibilities are yours to explore. You can even use this as a kickoff to your Summer Reading Program or just as a way to bring your patrons closer together. All the participating bowling alleys are aware of this co-sponsorship and are able to work with you to set up a special program. If your library is interested in having an event at one of the Nationwide Bowling Lanes, contact the alley directly to coordinate the details.
We hope you will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. \x93Check out\x94 Nationwide Bowling Lanes with your library card this summer!
Sincerely,
The Staff of the North Arlington Public Library
