Members of the Libraries Transform Lives task force agreed that a calculator to show the value of a library card is a good tool to build support in the community. Some New Jersey libraries already make this tool available on their webpage, and it is hoped that you will find it useful for your library.
The calculator is based on the Maine model with additional components developed by the members of the Libraries Transform Lives task force. Thanks especially to Kathy Schalk-Greene, Joan M. Serpico and Kelly Garwood for creating the updated software and Michelle Brewer, Joanne Roukins and Robert White who lent their expertise. Victoria Rosch and Bob Keith of NJSL provided logistical and technical assistance.
There are two ways to make use of this tool. You can either put the icon on your webpage and link to the tool hosted by the New Jersey State Library or you can embed the tool in your library's webpage. For further information, go to http://www.njstatelib.org/LDB/Calculator/, or contact Bob Keith at rkeith@PROTECTED.
