Hi all,

We had Karen here in March and it was a great program. She is expensive, $1000 per day but I got her 3 bookings in neighboring towns on the same day so we split it three ways. She had only one of her dogs with her. I would love to see her other dog. The kids enjoyed it, she also brought her sled. I would recommend it for 1st grade and up though, she shows slides and does a talk.

Hello New Jersey Librarians! I have been compiling a list of libraries in your state and surrounding states, hoping to make a trip east for Iditarod Dog Mushing talks. I have a few questions for you before I try to start making a schedule.

Do you think there are any schools in your area that might be interested in daytime talks? My school and library talks are different. Usually, kids end up loving the talk (and Borage!) and want to bring friends and family back to the library in the evening. What time of year would you prefer? I am considering late April into early May, or making a separate trip east during the summer. Right now, my travel fee will be $100. If you have one talk, it will be $600 total ($500 for one talk + $100 travel fee). OR if you book unlimited talks in one day, it will be $1100 ($1000 for unlimited talks in one day + $100 travel fee). If I have to make a separate trip from Montana to New Jersey this next summer, the travel fee might need to be increased depending on the price of fuel.

Please let me know ASAP if you think you might be able to drum up more school interest AND what season you prefer.
