NJAC 15:22, Library Network Services, will sunset June 15, 2010 unless re-adopted. Since the regulations were substantially re-worked in 2005, NJSL proposes that these rules be re-adopted with minor changes. Attached is the full text of the current law and following are the proposed changes.

Recommended changes:

1. Need to correct spelling in N.J.A.C. 15:22-1.8. [Exectuive] Executive board: organization and duties

2. Need to change: N.J.A.C. 15:22-1.10 (b) 3 regarding five-year plan to three-year plan to be consistent with rest of document.

3. Need to remove: (e) under N.J.A.C. 15:22-1.17, Allocation of library network funds

(e) No less than 40 percent of the funds made available for the regional library cooperative shall be allocated in the annual operating budget of a regional library cooperative, and expended as necessary, to reimburse regional contract libraries for services to residents of the library region.

Reasoning: this section no longer pertains to the actual use of network funds.
