Hi Fran,

I had 2 very successful Pictionary nights at our library.  We used the cards from Pictionary, but not the game board.  Instead I broke the kids up into 2 teams.  I made score sheets which consisted of 2 columns of a repeated pattern of the categories. Each team took turns drawing or each of the respective categories.  One point was awarded for each correct answer, and two points in the difficult category.  For the “all play” category, I did the drawing while both teams tried to guess.  I bought a giant pad of paper at Office Depot which we put on easel for the drawings, and we used markers rather than pencils to draw. I recommend having two of the sand-timers so that you always have one ready to go, and don’t have to stop to reset the sand when all the time isn’t used up.  You can do one round of each of the categories in about 10 minutes.  It gets a little loud, but it’s lots of fun.  We played for about an hour each night.

If anything here isn’t quite clear, you can call or email.

Hey all

I'm looking for some quick and easy ideas for teens for this Sat - having a Talk Like a Pirate event but need some more thoughts.

Can you, brilliant collective mind, help?

Thanks all!
