It is with deep regret that I must inform you of Rob Zangara\x92s resignation from the NJ State Library as Chief Information Officer. He will be leaving NJSL in midDecember and becoming the Head of IT for the Seattle Public Library system in January. Rob\x92s significant accomplishments are too numerous to detail well. Rob was responsible for combining 14 hub libraries into JerseyConnect, our fully redundant and scalable statewide library automation system. He put together a small but mighty IT team to serve both NJSL and libraries statewide. Rob replaced the phone system at the State Street Library and is doing the same at TBBC. Most recently Rob has been the essential connection for NJ libraries at the State Broadband Committee, working to get ARRA money for library broadband access. Robert Zangara was named one of the top non-profit Chief Information Officers by the NJ Technology Council in 2008, recognizing him for his expertise as an innovator, marketer and busine ss lea der. We wish Rob and his family the very best of luck in the future as they relocate to the state of Washington.
Sincerely, Norma
Norma E. Blake, State Librarian New Jersey State Library
