Regarding the recent enactment of P.L. 2009, c.141, the section on vacancies applies to county library commissioners as well as municipal and joint library trustees. For more information go to: http://www.nj.gov/dca/lgs/lfns/09lfns/2009-24.doc

For municipal and joint libraries: I have gotten several questions about whether or not current trustees need to fill out a Citizen Leadership Form. I checked with the Department of Community Affairs, and the answer is that they do not. Only people who want to serve who are not currently serving need fill out the form.
