This is a reminder to my previous listserv message dated Nov. 23rd to inform you that there will be important additions and changes in the New Jersey Public Library Survey form (PLS/PCSA) for the Data Year 2010.

Starting Jan.1st, 2010 IMLS is requiring \x93children\x92s\x94 age be defined as \x9311 and under\x94. The age group between 12 and 18 will be defined as \x93Young Adults\x94. Consequently, 2 data elements will need to be added for data collection: 1. Number of Young Adult Programs, and 2. Young Adult Program Attendance

Please prepare for these additions and changes starting Jan. 1st, 2010. Details on the additions and changes are attached. Lines for these data elements will be added in the DY 2010 survey.

These have been approved by IMLS and data collection for 2010 has to reflect these additions and changes. The entire document from IMLS is http://plsc.pbworks.com/f/2009+Data+Elements+final.pdf

Please note that there will be no impact on \x93Collections\x94 data in any way (PLS Part IV & V).
