We have had a program at the Clifton Library several times now, done by a woman who teaches kids how to make simple objects from yarn.  She calls the program Yarn Good Fun, and she does a great job.  Kids have made tassels, yarn dolls and pompoms and lots of variations \x96 for Halloween she made yarn scarecrows, spiders and ghosts. 

She\x92ll work with a variety of age groups \x96 although we have geared our programs from ages 5 to 12.  We\x92ve also had both boys and girls at the programs and a number of parents as well.

 

If you are looking for something a little different for the kids to do, I would highly recommend her.

She also offers a great program about Ireland which includes having the kids learn an irish folk dance and do some Celtic art.  (Ms. Curley is from Ireland.)
