The U.S. Department of Labor would like to share information with the library community on a new initiative developed by the department.

The URLs are: www.dol.gov/challenge and http://dolchallenge.ideascale.com. These sites were created as part of a competition encouraging entrepreneurs and organizations to help the department develop an online inventory by submitting job search and career advancement tools. The voting period for the top-rated tools has ended. However, by going to the second site, you and your customers can view all of the ideas submitted. The top-ranked tools will be published on this site in early February. For a list of resources already available from the federal government, visit the sites listed on the left hand side of the Department of Labor challenge site.
