Watchung Library's water-themed summer reading clubs and programs kick-off today, and like many libraries across the country, Watchung will be celebrating the oceans and sealife. Hearing the news about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and understanding that it is human nature to want to help in some way, I am attaching a flyer that you may want to offer patrons who are looking for a positive way to help. The flyer, compiled with the kind assistance of Leslie Kahn of the Newark Public Library, lists a few of the many nonprofit organizations who are working on the oil spill, and who would welcome help from the public.
Two versions of the flier are attached - a PDF flier and a MS Word version, which can be edited to fit your needs. If the attachments are not included with this email, I'll be happy for forward them to anyone who would like a copy.
