This is a reminder that the Statewide Summer Reading Program is partnering again this summer with the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority (owner and operator of the IZOD Center at the Meadowlands Sports Complex) to encourage and inspire readers to embrace the love of reading while rewarding them for their hard work.
Anyone who participates in the Statewide Summer Reading Program through their local public library has the opportunity to win 4 tickets to select family events at the Meadowlands Sports Complex by entering the name of a book they have read at the njlibrarychampions.org website under the link to \x93contest and events.\x94 To enter the contest participants have to fill out an entry form using Survey Monkey. Since some of the events are scheduled for the fall, tickets are not available for them yet, but as they become available, the survey will be posted on the website under the event. The contest is open to all ages, although the tickets are for events geared more for children.
For more details see the attached document and flyer advertising the program. The State Library also sent out bookmarks advertising these Meadowlands events to public libraries in northern NJ. If your library needs more bookmarks, please contact Gary Cooper, Public Relations & News Media Contact, New Jersey State Library, gcoo...@njstatelib.org, 609-278-2640 ext. 108. For more information about the summer reading program contact Sharon Rawlins, Youth Services Consultant, NJ State Library, sraw...@njstatelib.org, 609-278-2640 ext. 116.
