I enjoyed Gordon Korman's Son of the Mob.  The son of a mob boss falls for the daughter of an FBI agent!  It was funny and a quick read!

Sharon,

Thank you.  I could think of some, but I thought that I would put the question out to the listservs.  I also need to catch up on my reading! :)

Just off the top of my head:

John Green’s Looking for Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines aren’t what I’d call “straight romances” but they have romance in them, written from male’s point of view (both for older teens).

Not sure I’d call 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher a romance but it is from the boy’s point of view but he does have a crush & doesn’t get the girl in the end (not to give anything away here!) (also for older teens).

It’s been a long time since I read it but I think Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl is from a male’s point of view & it’s part romance, part paranormal fantasy (and the cover’s not too girly). The sequel, Beautiful Darkness, is out in October.

Hello,  everyone.  Have you had any requests for Romance Novels from Tween/Teen Guys?  For example...

1.       Books where the characters go through some drama and fall in love, but end up not together at the end.

2.       Romance novels written in a male voice – they want the romance from a man’s perspective/male main character.

Guys are reading the Twilight Saga.  Do you know of any other authors or series?

Thanks,

Tricia Curran
