Hi Gina
The NJLA Performers' Showcase committee is always looking for performers recommended by librarians.  This group sounds great.  Do I have the correct StarFish at this website http://www.worldsoundkids.com/starfish/ ?  If I am at the right website, then I want to contact them about recommending them to the Showcase committee to participate in a future Showcase (perhaps Nov. 2011 since the 2010 roster is confirmed).  And Gina, what is your direct email as I am responding as a reply to your NJYAC email.
Thanx!
Diane

Subject: [njyac] Kids Rock Band StarFish - please share with others!

FYI,

We had the kids rock band StarFish play at the Livingston Library for the second time this year, and I can not keep them to myself any longer. Please share this with other librarians in the state.

StarFish are a rock band, for kids, based out of Maplewood, New Jersey. The band members are musicians who are also dads. They are original, fun, brilliant, affordable and know how to rock! Kids and parents alike left the concert singing their songs. This is one band that should definitely be headed for bigger venues than public libraries.

If you need more, here are some reviews of their latest CD:

If you have any other questions about the band, I would be happy to answer them for you.
