Almost Perfect is great relationship drama if your reader's in HS & ok with the LGBTI angle,
Playing with matches is amazing and romantic but realistic. (both books are by Katcher, Brian)
Kissing Vanessa by Cheshire is a romantic comedy
Storky by Garfinkle is another fun romance with some comedy thrown in
Where the Kissing never stops by Koertge
Heavy Metal and You by Krovatin
Boy meets boy by Levithan (again if no problem with LGBTI)
Dishes by Wallace
Summer I Got a Life by Fink

Tried to find a few titles not already mentioned, have fun!

Sharon,

Thank you.  I could think of some, but I thought that I would put the question out to the listservs.  I also need to catch up on my reading! :)

Just off the top of my head:

John Green\x92s Looking for Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines aren\x92t what I\x92d call \x93straight romances\x94 but they have romance in them, written from male\x92s point of view (both for older teens).

Not sure I\x92d call 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher a romance but it is from the boy\x92s point of view but he does have a crush & doesn\x92t get the girl in the end (not to give anything away here!) (also for older teens).

It\x92s been a long time since I read it but I think Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl is from a male\x92s point of view & it\x92s part romance, part paranormal fantasy (and the cover\x92s not too girly). The sequel, Beautiful Darkness, is out in October.

Hello,  everyone.  Have you had any requests for Romance Novels from Tween/Teen Guys?  For example...

1.       Books where the characters go through some drama and fall in love, but end up not together at the end.

2.       Romance novels written in a male voice \x96 they want the romance from a man\x92s perspective/male main character.

Guys are reading the Twilight Saga.  Do you know of any other authors or series?

Thanks,

Tricia Curran
