In collaboration with the New Jersey State Library and the INFOLINK Library Cooperative, LYRASIS ( www.lyrasis.org) is offering 30 FREE web-based, live online classes to public library staff in New Jersey. These programs are provided with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Opportunity Online Hardware Grant program. Lyrasis is also making them available to 6 other states (CT, MA, ME, NC, NH, and RI). Classes begin September 27 and are finished by mid-November. Limited seating. First come, first served.
Subjects being presented are: advocacy skills, basic survey design, managing e-resources, social networking tools, library services going mobile, open source and other technology trends.
