As a result of funding the New Jersey State Library has received through the Broadband Technology Opportunity Program (BTOP) grant, all NJ public libraries now have access to Learning Express\x92 Job & Career Accelerator.
With this newly available resource, New Jersey residents will be able to: \x95 Explore detailed information on over 1,000 different occupations \x95 Match their interests and skills with the career that's best for them \x95 Search over five million up-to-the-minute local and national job postings \x95 Create professional resumes and cover letters \x95 Practice and master interviewing skills \x95 Get invaluable tips and advice every step of the way\x97from their initial search to accepting an offer \x95 Conveniently organize and track your job-search progress all in one place
Plus your customers will be able to access the Job & Career Accelerator through any computer with Internet access from within a NJ public library or remotely, with a NJ public library card. Access is available through JerseyClicks.org, click on \x93Job and Career Accelerator\x94 under Careers and Jobs heading.

Training for your staff: 1. Six (6) in-person training sessions will be conducted by Learning Express over the next 3 months at NJ public libraries. These 2 \xBD hour sessions will provide your library staff with the following: \x95 Setting up a user profile \x95 Taking the Occupation Matcher assessment \x95 Reviewing how to search for jobs and explore new careers \x95 Using the resume and cover letter building tools \x95 Review computer skills resources \x95 Marketing tools and promotional ideas

Carteret Public Library Monday, December 13th 9:00am \x96 11:30am
Morris County Public Library Tuesday, December 14th 2:00pm \x96 4:30pm
Cherry Hill Public Library Wednesday, December 15th 5:00pm \x96 7:30pm
Ocean City Free Public Library Monday, January 10th 2:00pm \x96 4:30pm
The final two on-site sessions will be sent in a separate e-mail once locations and dates are confirmed.
