Native Nations Dance Theater "Powwow:  Keep the Spirit Alive" was an excellent program.  The meeting room was filled to capacity with families and the show received rave reviews.
The theater is through Young Audiences of NJ and the fee was $560 + 70 (travel and because it was a weekend performance) = $630
It was well worth the fee...

Tchin was also very good.  He participated in the NJLA Performers' Showcase and at my library.  He told stories and played the flute.  His website is www.tchin.net 
If you contact Tchin, tell him Diane Cann of the NJLA Performers' Showcase and West Deptford Library referred you.  He fee was $725.
 
I am asking that you let the performers know of referrals because this helps them and us know how we network via NJLA for the Showcase as well as NJ libraries.

We have a patron who has done programs on henna tattoos for us in the past.  We are going to ask her if she’ll do this again this summer and would like to make it a whole day of Indian culture with music, food, etc.  Can anyone recommend a performer for Indian music?
