CALENDAR OF EVENTS The Calendar of Events provides a calendar of all of the BTOP-related trainings and workshops available at all of the libraries across the state. We are constantly adding new dates to this calendar, as sessions are being scheduled. *If training sessions are missing or incorrect, please contact Natasha Peter, BTOP Compliance Officer, at npeter@PROTECTED with the following information: \x95 Date and time \x95 Name of course \x95 How a person can register for the session
Once received, the Calendar of Events will be updated appropriately.
RESOURCES
Community College Training
FYI - If your library has a meeting room available, the community college will be housing mobile training equipment (laptops, projectors, etc) and the trainer will bring the equipment to each session at your library. Equipment will not be kept at the library.
Options available for scheduling public sessions: \x95 Schedule four 4-hour classes - each class covering ONE of the topics above. These courses will provide a basic understanding of how to use the Microsoft Office applications, while providing the job seeker with the ability to successfully create resumes and cover letters, perform an online job search, and respond to job listings. \x95 Schedule four 4-hour classes - each class covering ALL of the topics above. These courses will be a more advanced class, for those jobseekers that have familiarity or working knowledge of the Microsoft applications, but may need a more in-depth understanding to create resumes and cover letters, perform an online job search, and respond to job listings.
Coming Soon - Access to Frost & Sullivan market research reports will be available at NJ public libraries this month, only through JerseyClicks.org (within the public library or remotely with a NJ public library card).
Gale Career Transitions has recently been purchased using BTOP funds. This resource will be available to NJ public libraries starting July 2011. Training for library staff will be available \x96 dates TBD.
NJN\x92s Workforce Learning Link will be available to NJ public libraries this month through JerseyClicks.org and a link will be provided on the BTOP website.
