Hi Fran (and everyone!),

 

Yes, all public libraries in NJ that sent in their statistics from last summer’s reading program will receive the children’s banner, children’s and teen posters, and children’s and teen bookmarks. This information was included in the cover letter I sent out to all libraries with their summer reading manuals. Llibraries are just starting to receive these materials now. They are being shipped directly from Upstart/Highsmith. If you are part of a county library system, all the materials are being shipped to the main library to be distributed to the branches.

Each year, the Horizon Report introduces six emerging technologies or practices that are likely to enter mainstream use within the next five years. It focuses on technology trends in higher education, but is valuable reading for librarians in all types of institutions. It is 40 pages. Once you've read the report -- or the 6-page summary-- share it and discuss these technology trends.
