Dear Directors:

The State Library is holding the second \x93Best Practices in Early Literacy Contest\x94 to recognize four public libraries for their innovative and successful programs for children from birth to age 6. The winning libraries will receive a $500 award from the State Library and be highlighted in a booklet that will be distributed at the NJLA Conference and the NJ Head Start Association Professional Development Conference in May. The deadline for applications is March 25, 2011. There is no formal application form required. The attached announcement includes more information about the contest, including what must be included in the application.
