Hi, everyone –

Well, it seems like many of us are curious about the Facebook integration feature in Evanced Summer Reader.  I received a lot of responses to my question, but only four of these responses weren’t requests for me to compile and post.  J  Here they are:

·         We have set it up on ours but if memory serves from last year since it hasn't come up yet th is year, I think they have to be logged in or then log into FB if they click yes, which worked for those that signed up on their own but if sign up any at the library, like will we do then we don't even ask them if they want because we can't log into their FB for them.  Hope that makes sense and help.  I have it for my Teen SRP, so if they want to use it they can and if not NBD.

·         I am using this year for the first time for Teens and Adults. I figure it is free PR for us. I am hoping it has an impact.

·         Did it last year. Mostly nobody cared.

·         We have been using Evanced for several years here at Dayton Metro Library.  This is the first year we are trying the Facebook integration.  We decided to try it to get some extra free publicity.  We began our program June 1st, so we are only a week into it, but so far it seems to be working well.  We have activated it in both the adult and teen programs.

I think we’re going to give it a try and see what we and the teens think.

Thanks to everyone for your replies!

Suzanne
