Afternoon, all!  I need your help!

I'm on the YALSA Teen Read Week Committee and for the very first time, they are working on coming up with a manual for use with TRW 2012.  The manual aims to cover a variety of situations: things to do in the public and school library, the classroom, independent (passive) programs, social programs, creative programs, and short, cheap, and easy programs, contests, cheap, free, and/or themed prize ideas.

The theme is "It Came from the Library" and you can interpret that freely!  We need step-by-step instructions, as many of our readers will be doing Teen Read Week programs for the first time.

So, great creative New Jersey minds, please send me your grand ideas!

Here are some thoughts to get your creative juices flowing: Create your own swamp monster (creatures from black lagoons....); Create your own planet/country/world (like It Came from Outer Space...); Costume parties, performances, or events based on book characters or book settings.

My deadline is next Friday: Yikes!

:) Kate
