Roger Williams called our library this afternoon to mention that these authors are available to do FREE library & school visits.  I asked him to send me details to share on NJYAC -- here is the information:

I represent New Jersey authors, Gina Cascone and Annette Cascone. www.agcascone.com   The Cascone sisters have six books coming out this year from Tor/Macmillan, and a movie, based on the book, GRAVE SECRETS.  www.gravesecretsthemovie.com

GRAVE SECRETS, and the other books from their "Deadtime Stories for Kids" are for middle graders, 8-12 year olds. They are funny, spooky, classic ghost stories, meant for family reading. Originally published by Troll in the mid 1990's, these updated editions are beginning to garner some good consumer reviews. The sisters have also written the screenplay for the film that stars Jennifer Stone, from Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, and 3 time Oscar nominee, Diane Ladd.  By July, four of their six books will have been published. A January pub., Baker & Taylor now has copies of GRAVE SECRETS. Gina is in Mercer County, Annette, lives in Union County.

Gina and Annette are authors of over 30 books.  They have been connected with such series as Goosebumps, Ghosts of Fear Street, and Animorphs.  They are seasoned professionals, popular with library patrons, kids and parents alike; teachers and administrators; and they have been asked to speak at this year's International Reading Association Convention.  Deadtime Stories for Kids in book and film, are all about getting kids excited about reading.  In 2012, Deadtime Stories for Kids will be released as hardcovers from Tor, paperbacks from Scholastic, eBooks and films.

As New Jersey residents, Gina and Annette would like to offer, free of charge, a program to any middle school, or public library, when practicable.   Their program consists of a reading from their first book, GRAVE SECRETS, a clip of the film, from the chapter, to show how the book was translated to film, then a discussion, or Q&A.

If you have any questions, you can contact me, their literary agent, at (860) 973-2439, or Gina Cascone at (609) 896-0167.  We also have limited quantities a number of Deadtime Stories for Kids posters, and advance reading copies on the upcoming titles, THE WITCHING GAME and THE BEAST OF BASKERVILLE.

Thank you!

~ Roger
