Hi, Everyone,
We are looking for speakers for the annual Youth Services Forum (Nov. 1, 2012 at Monroe Public Library, Middlesex County, NJ)
to be a part of a panel discussing grants that you’ve received at least once, or multiple times, from the same grantee for youth services. The idea is not to discuss grant resources that you can use to find
grants but to talk about how you’re successfully received a grant (and hopefully how easy it’s been to get). You would be discussing how you went about getting it, ease of filling out the application, criteria needed to get the grant, etc.
It could be a grant from a local organization such as your community’s Cultural Heritage Commission or your local or national Rotary Club, or big organization like Wal-Mart, a local foundation or a national
one like the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation, etc.
We all want to get more funding and I know some libraries have been very successful at receiving grants. We’re asking anyone who has if they would be willing to talk about how they did it.
If you are interested, or know of someone else you can recommend, please let me know ASAP.
Thanks!
Best,
Sharon Rawlins, MLS
