I highly recommend Torrey Maldonado, author of Secret Saturdays. He is VERY affordable, and he really connected with the teens in Atlantic City. They still talk about him and look up to him. He's such a good speaker that the teens don't even need to have read the book - he just talks about his experiences growing up in the projects and how it fueled his writing career. Very inspirational without being lame or preachy. He also had them rolling on the floor laughing, which always helps.

Unfortunately he IS more middle school than high school (Secret Saturdays is best for grades 6-9), we had 12-18 year olds at his talk and everyone loved him and his book.
