Please excuse the cross postings.

This is a wonderful opportunity for teens and it ties in well to core curriculum.  I’m going to make copies of the PDF instructions available in my teen room and at our activities, and will promote the contest vigorously as a way to hone their school tools over the summer.  I am not going to try to have them contribute under a group ID this year.  But that option exists, and would be awesome to try, especially as a school/public library cooperation.

My thanks to Patcy for this!

Have a safe and pleasant Memorial Day, and good luck with summer to all –

Dear Sue,

When I saw this I thought about you and your program with the kids.

The New York Times is having its 4th Annual Summer Writing Contest.  Your kids could read from the New York Times and then write a response that could win. If this sounds like something you might like, then click the link below for more information.

Hope you are having a great day!

Patcy Drake
