JOB TITLE
Teen Intern – Main Library
REPORTS TO
Korin Rosenkrans, Head of Customer & Information Services
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· Knowledge of current trends in library service for teens and tweens
· Knowledge of current trends in library technology
· Ability to work with teens and tweens
SAMPLE JOB DUTIES
· Provides friendly, competent reference and reader’s advisory service to teens
· Assist with Collection Development for teens materials, graphic novels, games for all locations
· Prepares book lists
· Participates in outreach activities including school visits, cooperation with community organizations, book clubs and programming
JOB VALUES
· Friendly and welcoming to library customers
· Pride in his/her work
· Participates as a team member within the Information Services Department and all other departments
· Interested in new ideas
· Is able to adapt to change
Position requires weekday, weeknight and some weekend hours
