Subject: Vote for what book every NJ teen should read
Date: November 19th 2013

FYI,

NJ Literacy campaign –Teach For America/School & Public Libraries

What book should every NJ teen read? Nominate now - and win a Kindle! http://bit.ly/HFQi0b  #1BookNJ

Right now the trending titles are To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, and The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.

This is a crowdsourcing project by Teach for America to identify the best book for teens - as voted by NJ. The top choice will be put in 53 local schools that are working with Teach for America. All participants are eligible to win a Kindle. While Teach for America values an official reading list as much as the next person, they have more faith in you. The campaign runs from 11/11 – 12/16.  It’s divided into 2 phases: nominations (11/11 – 11/26) and voting (12/2 – 12/16 – anyone can vote on the top ten nominations). The campaign will be open to anyone: teen, adult, in school, out of school, etc. - essentially, anyone with an opinion and a working internet connection. There are no guidelines.  The campaign website where you can vote is www.yourschoolsyourcall.org
