We are hoping you will share the information and links about this year's The Winners! Workshop with your fellow librarians, teachers, and other colleagues. It will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Voorhees, NJ; on Thursday, May 1 in Somerset, NJ; and on Friday, May 2 in North Jersey (TBA). Here's some info in a nutshell.

ABOUT THE WINNERS! INSTRUCTOR:

JUDY FREEMAN (www.JudyReadsBooks.com) is a well-known speaker, consultant, book reviewer, and writer on all aspects of children's literature, storytelling, book talking, and school librarianship. She is a visiting lecturer in the School of Information and Library Science at Pratt Institute in New York City, where she teaches courses in children's literature and storytelling. A former school librarian, she gives conferences, workshops, speeches, and performances throughout the U.S. and abroad for teachers, librarians, parents, and children, and is a national seminar presenter for BER (Bureau of Education and Research). Judy served as a member of the 2000 Newbery Committee, the 2008 Sibert Informational Book Award Committee, and is now a proud member of the 2014 Caldecott Committee. Among her many published professional books on children’s literature and storytelling, Judy writes the yearly The Winners! Handbook, based on her Winners! Workshops.
