About the Position  North Star Academy Charter School of Newark (North Star) seeks talented educator to lead an extended middle school afterschool enrichment program. The students are 5th and 6th graders. Teacher is expected to be present every Thursday from 2:30 – 5:15pm except for school closings and holidays. The focus of the requested enrichment program is a book club. Curriculum and direction of club is largely dependent on the instructor with approval from campus leaders.  Ideal candidates will possess strong skills in these areas as well as effective classroom management and a passion about our mission to close the achievement gap for our students.
