Subject: [NHDCHAT] FW: Query concerning public libraries and National History Day
Good Morning, coordinators-
Diantha Schull is working on a publication on how public libraries make their special collections available to NHD students (see description below). If you have partnerships like this set up in your state or region (we know many of you do), she would love
to hear about it and get in touch with the librarians. Her contact information is below.
Please reply directly to her and not to the entire listserv. J
Thanks in advance!

Subject: Query concerning public libraries and National History Day
Ms. O'Hara,
I am conducting research for a publication that will highlight examples of public library programming based on special collections. To be published by ALA Editions, the book will focus on a wide range of programs, from tours and symposia to workshops and
history festivals. I would like to include a few examples of public libraries that have supported students in using their archives or special collections for History Day projects. I would be most appreciative if you or your colleagues might direct me to
some librarians or archivists who have been involved in National History Day and, in so doing, have helped students take advantage of public library collections.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
Best wishes for the New Year.
