FYI,

National Teen Lock-In – August 1, 2014 for Public Libraries

Here’s a great video PSA to promote Chain Reaction, the 2014 National Teen Lock-In, is up on Youtube at http://youtu.be/xDOrMc7WqtY. Take a look! If you are interested in participating this summer, go here (https://sites.google.com/site/teenlibrarylockin/home) for more information.

Please promote this wonderful opportunity for public libraries and teens to connect across the US in your libraries and to your colleagues. To see who participated in 2013 and who has signed up for this year check out this interactive map. This link can be shared and viewed by anyone: https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=za2-FZRLHuAg.kTS3XqYpA1WA

We want NJ public libraries to participate this year! No one did last year.

Add the video link or embed the video into your YA/Teen webpage, share on FaceBook, Snap Chat, Twitter - whatever you utilize!  Consider posting to any listservs you subscribe to as well.  Would be great for other libraries to see the video if they have not participated before.

These are the folks who provided the testimonials and filming: Tinna Mills and CRDL teens (MI); Claudia Haines at Homer Public Library (AK) and Audrey; and Keisha Parks, Nikki Branam, and Cleveland Bradley County Public Library teens (TN).  There's nothing better than participants' praise to tell our story.

Best,
