If the festival is looking for a performance for 2015, I have just created a new one:  Flying Higher: Ann Baumgartner Carl and the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) of World War II in which I impersonate this Jersey pilot and tell about the origin and training of the  WASPs, how she became the only American woman to test-fly experimental planes during the war, and the first woman in America to fly a jet airplane.  Since this year marks the 75th Anniversary of the beginning of World War II, I am seeing a lot of interest in the program.  It is geared toward adults, teens, and kids 9 and up.

Alternatively, I could do a family program of stories and songs...maybe spring/Earth Day themed if the festival is around that time?

I am a professional storyteller (as well as a children's librarian) and do family programs of interactive stories and songs regularly for groups large & small.  It sounds like a program combining food, clothing, and special gift stories would fit in with your food/mitten donation programs.  
Here are some possibilities we could choose from (most stories have props and audience volunteers):

·         The Turkey Shot Out of the Oven (based on the poem by Jack Prelutsky, chorus by Cathy Darby)

·         The Surprise (based on the story by George Shannon)

·         The Marvelous Toy (song by Tom Paxton)

·         Night Tree (based on the book by Eve Bunting)
