Are you passing through Monroe in Middlesex county in November?  Coming to the Author Event here on November 15?  The Library hosts vintage teen books in the lobby display case.  Each has a tie to NJ for the 350th – either author or setting.  How can anyone resist Almost as Good as a Boy by Newark’s prolific Amanda Douglas?  Did you know the finale of Heinlein’s Have Space Suit, Will Travel takes place at the Institute for Advanced Study?

 

Looking ahead – celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Stratemeyer Syndicate AND the 75th anniversary of Nancy Drew next year!  Series scholars and aficionados will meet  June 11-14, 2015, in Maplewood NJ.  Watch http://www.ndsleuths.com/ndsconventions.html for forthcoming details.
