Please excuse the cross postings.

I promised to let everyone know about the Stratemeyer/Nancy Drew Mini-Conference in Maplewood this June 11-14.

The good news is that the people involved are extremely knowledgeable, and have spent long hours in the Stratemeyer Syndicate Archive at NYPL.  And it's nice to be bussed around Newark and Elizabeth to see hard-to-find landmark sites.

The bad news is that it's expensive, as hotel and meals are included.  I had hoped for a tour-only option for in-state fans.  

 

However, there will be a FREE  event, with speakers, at the Maplewood Public Library Saturday morning, 10:30-12:30.

The website is a little confusing: scroll all the way down, past Iowa and Ohio, to find the NJ event.  I believe there is still plenty of room in the  NJ tour despite the early deadlines, about 20 people so far.
