25th Anniversary Youth Services Forum, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 - Deadline to register is Sept. 28, 2015

The 25th Annual Youth Services Forum:  A Day of Hot Topics and Issues in Library Services to Children and Young Adults, sponsored by The State Library, The New Jersey Library Association and New Jersey Association of School Librarians will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Monroe Public Library (Middlesex County) from 8:45 am 3:00 pm.

Some of the scheduled sessions include:

Keynote Speaker: Marc Aronson, award-winning children’s and YA author

  • Steam for the Littlest Ones
  • What’s Next? When Kids Outgrow Sensory Story Times
  • Late Night Programming
  • Best Practices in Early Literacy
  • Piano, Soccer, Ballet, and the Library?
  • Teen Volunteers All Year
  • Bilingual Story Times
  • Open Discussion: Outreach
  • From Youth Services to Director? And Back Again!

 

Complete program descriptions and the registration form are on NJLA’s website and the NJ State Library’s website. The deadline to register is September 28, 2015. If you are registering by mail, it must be received at the NJLA office by this date. Don’t forget to fill out your program and lunch choices in addition to the registration information. The registration information is under NJLA’s Events on the right-hand side of the main page.

Breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee. Continuing education credits will be available and raffle prizes will be awarded. Handouts and presentations from the sessions will be posted on the NJ State Library website after the Forum.
