As a supplement to the Youth Mental Health First Aid trainings offered by the State Library, youth services librarians and staff working with teens in all types of libraries are invited to attend a free webinar conducted by National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Middle Atlantic Region (NN/LM MAR) on health information for teens. Please consider taking advantage of this useful webinar and share this information with colleagues who might also want to attend.

 

From A(norexia) to Z(its): Providing Health Information to Teens
This class is designed for public librarians and secondary school librarians, teachers, nurses, and counselors. The hands-on class will present an overview of health information needs of teenagers and their information seeking behaviors; review communication skills needed during reference interviews with teenagers; and discuss credible health information resources that are designed for teens.

 

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016
3:00PM – 4:30 PM EST

There will be an asynchronous online component (February 3-March 2, 2016) to receive an additional 1.5 CE’s for a total of 3 MLA CE credits.
