Rosetta Stone corrected URL and log in issues

Dear Colleagues,

The URL for Rosetta Stone that was sent out earlier had an incorrect authentication sequence.  Please visit http://www.njstatelib.org/services_for_libraries/statewide_services/urls/ for the correct Rosetta Stone URL (please note that Rosetta Stone is only available through public libraries).  Attached to this email is the logo for Rosetta Stone so you can put it on your website.

At the bottom of the webpage linked above you will find a list of database URLs that include geolocation as an option for user authentication. Geolocation attempts to use a library patron’s IP address to find their location.  If that location is found to be within New Jersey the user is allowed access to the database.  If not then the user is authenticated as normal using their library barcode. The order of authentication is IP address, geolocation, then library card barcode.

Lastly, we are aware of some issues with Rosetta Stone this morning including an erroneous message on the log in screen that says we only have access to Level 1 content.  That is incorrect, we have access to all levels of Rosetta Stone content.  We are working with EBSCO to get that corrected.  Also, currently an error message appears when a user attempts to log in to Rosetta Stone.  That is also being addressed and we will send out a message when it is resolved.

Best regards,

Bob Keith
