Dear All,

With this year's health and sports-inspired summer reading program in full swing, I'm pausing to share two special events that were new to Watchung Library, and made possible by the Friends of the Watchung Library and the Garden Club of Watchung. Perhaps your community groups are looking for programs to support.  You may have had these presenters at your library already, and if so, consider this an encore!

Traditions of Chinese Acrobatics
Presented by Li Liu
Li's  grace and strength would leave any Olympic gymnast in awe!  She dazzled everyone with her breath-taking handstands. While we've seen such acrobatics in computer generated images, she was doing them FOR REAL thanks to a lifetime of practice and performances.  This program was open to all ages, ans children really enjoyed ribbon dancing and plate spinning.  

Veggication - Cooking Class for Healthy Kids

This class was the first to reach full registration. Everyone who came had a chance to participate. Children created a delicious and healthy green hummus. Ingredients were introduced, smelled and of course - enjoyed!
