Hi, everyone!
I am writing to extend an invitation to an information session for educators and administrators on effectively and informatively incorporating a discussion about race into their classrooms and schools. Princeton CHOOSE, an organization founded by two high school juniors, publishes a "Classroom Index" which is a helpful guide for teachers regarding different topics surrounding race. The guide provides helpful information including statistics and research, as well as personal anecdotes from people all across New Jersey.
The program has been successfully piloted in Princeton Public Schools - K-12 and in a few Princeton private schools, but they are looking to expand to other nearby school districts.
The event will be Thursday, October 6th at 7PM and light refreshments will be served. New Jersey CEU Professional Development for Teachers units will be provided.
