Wisconsin is offering free online digital storytime course for public library staff serving young children

My colleague, Tessa Michaelson Schmidt, Public Library Youth and Inclusive Services Consultant at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, has developed a new professional development
online course for the public librarians in her state that she asked me to share with you because she’s invited librarians in other states to participate as well if they would like to.
The course is called
Digital Storytime: Kids, Apps, and Libraries and the course explores the role of apps and devices in the lives of young children and their families. It’s a
FREE online tool designed for public library staff serving youth and other educators.

to access it. It’s set up for individual to do at their own pace, and the introductory video to the course discusses the time needed to complete it. The estimate of the time it might take to complete all of the 4 modules (Watch, Read, Do, Explore) activities,
if completed in order, is between 3 – 5 hours, according to Tessa.
