The next annual New Directors’ Orientation will be held on February 15, 2017, at the New Jersey State Library’s Talking Book and Braille Center (2300 Stuyvesant Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08618).

Please note: New Directors’ Orientation is now a one-day training, instead of two.

The workshop will feature essential information for new library directors in the following areas:

• Overview of New Jersey State Library services focusing on how WE can help serve YOU in your new position as Library Director.
• NJ Library Law, Policies and Procedures
• Working with Trustees and Friends
• New Directors Sharing Session 

This is a great opportunity for new directors to learn the basics about their responsibilities, and to network with other library professionals and new directors throughout the state. Meet Mary Chute, State Librarian, and other NJSL staff to answer your questions and learn about our various departments. 

Date: February 15, 2017

Time: 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
