Dear Library Directors,
I am writing today to see if you have a staff member who works with teens who might be interested in participating in the three year IMLS funded, YALSA/COSLA “Transforming Teen Services: a Train the Trainer (T3)” Initiative. Four states participated in the 2018-2019 first year cohort and YALSA is hopeful that the remaining states and the Territories will apply to be part of the second cohort that would start in fall 2019.
The selected individual would work with a national cohort of like-minded folks from state agencies as well as frontline practitioners to learn about connected learning, computational thinking and teen services. The individual would need to:
Please let me know if you have a staff member you would recommend to participate in this initiative by May 17, 2019. The New Jersey State Library needs time to complete the required paperwork to submit an intent to apply for the second cohort by May 31, 2019.
This individual would be someone whose participation you would be able to support with the time needed to attend and conduct training sessions. It is a terrific professional development activity. We are only able to select one individual to participate.
