Dear Library Directors,

As you are probably aware, beginning in December the State Library and the regional Census Bureau began collaborating on local workshops to help prepare library staff to assist their customers in completing the online 2020 census. However, as of January 21, the State Library was informed by census trainers that they were awaiting updated information from the federal Census Bureau and would need to postpone trainings. That temporary postponement, to the best of my knowledge, is now extended indefinitely so we anticipate that there will not be any more regional trainings coordinated by the State Library this spring.

The regional Census trainers did send me a link to a You Tube video that may help your staff: https://youtu.be/fXg1_1HHKzA. They also delivered posters to be sent to local libraries to raise awareness of the census. However, since the State Library does not have any extra funds for this project, and since the posters do not contain any training materials, we will be doing a limited mailing of multiple posters to county libraries. Our regional trainers did send me a list of census representatives for each county in New Jersey. Below you will find their names, contact information and which county they work in.
